This is known as Pre-Treatment and can be carried out in house or off site by your appointed waste collector although off site sorting will incur higher charges.

With recycling schemes in place your general waste collections can be reduced thereby showing an overall cost reduction in your waste budget – We provide a wide range of collection services for various recyclate and for some of these a rebate is payable which will please your financial director.
NEW Mixed Recycling Service
As well as collecting segregated recyclables we now have a Mixed Recycling service available in most areas which offers you a simple and pain free way to recycle most of your recyclate in one container – Card, paper, tins and plastic can all be mixed.
Waste Electrical- WEEE
All electrical items falling under the WEEE Directive are collected via our various preferred service partners and are processed in full accordance with the directive.
All recyclable parts are removed and then bulked into manageable loads before being shipped to manufacturing facilities that reuse the metals, plastics, glass, mercury, lead etc. to make new items so ensuring closed loop recycling.
We use facilities strategically located across the UK to ensure transport is kept to minimum.
N.B. Some WEEE items will also be classified as Hazardous such as Fluorescent light tubes and CRT PC monitors and TV’s and as such will require a Hazardous Waste Consignment note and we will advise you accordingly
“Electrical and electronic equipment” means equipment which is dependent on electric currents or electromagnetic fields in order to work properly and equipment for the generation, transfer and measurement of such currents and fields falling under the categories set out in Schedule 1 to these Regulations and designed for use with a voltage rating not exceeding 1,000 volts for alternating current and 1,500 volts for direct current;
